How Will Computer Vision be Used?
This is an article about how the predictions of how Computer Vision will be used in the future. They say that due to the nature of this technology it is over hyped in the media. I think while this may be true it eventually can be close to giving these futuristic near movie plot level AI. An example of this tech being applied in the field, is to catch criminals.
This idea is to have a massive computer look through video tapes from security cameras to locate criminals. The target market would be everyone from law enforcement to people who want to enhance security. They would be from every walk in life with varying backgrounds.
